Aisha Yesufu takes Keyamo on trip down memory lane for criticising Atiku on not congratulating Buhari
Co-Convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu, has reminded Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo (SAN), how President Muhammadu Buhari reacted when he lost the presidential election in 2003, 2007 and 2011.
Yesufu was reacting to a tweet by the minister criticising presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, for not congratulating Buhari after Wednesday’s Supreme Court judgement which affirmed the president as the winner of the February 23 election.
Keyamo had tweeted:
“A man who claims to be a democrat refuses to congratulate the winner of an election, even after highest court affirmed it. Rather, he takes a swipe at ALL democratic institutions. That’s the hallmark of a bad loser. It appears the DUBAI STRATEGY turned out to be the DUBAI TRAGEDY.”
The activist fired back and told Keyamo that Buhari who contested election five times and lost three times didn’t congratulate the winner after Supreme Court judgement.
She advised him to take his ministerial assignment serious and switch away from campaign mode.
Keyamo was the Director of Media and Publicity of the Buhari Campaign Organisation in the 2019 election.
Yesufu tweeted:
“5 times Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari contested elections. He lost 3 times. He went to Supreme Court! Did he congratulate anyone? Even his 5th time when asked if he will congratulate the winner he said he will congratulate himself! Bros na Minister you be now no be campaign Oga!”
