Benue community gifts corps member 80 tubers of yam over borehole project [Video]
A community in Benue state overwhelmed by the good gesture of a corps member, Iyanuoluwa Moyinola, has gifted her 80 tubers of yam for erecting a borehole in their domain.
Apparently, Pila village, in Tarka local government area of Benue state, seems to have been deprived of access to potable water for a long time.
When all hope must have been fixated on the government to meet their expectation, they got help where they least expected, from a corps member who was earning N19,800 before it was increased to N33,000 in January.
To appreciate Moyinola for erecting a borehole as her community development project, members of the community gathered in what looks like a village square meeting to gift her yam which is the major agriculture produce of Benue state.
Moyinola took to her Twitter page to share a video of the gathering where she received the gift
It was gathered that the water project was commissioned on February 20, 2020.
