COVID-19: Kano discharges Health Commissioner, 15 others
The Kano state government has discharged 16 more COVID-19 patients, including the state commissioner of Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, from its facilities after they tested negative for the virus.
The state’s commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, announced this in a statement on Friday.
According to the statement, a total of 22 people have now been discharged from the facilities.
Among those discharged are Prof Abdulrazak Garba Habeeb of the Department of Medicine, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital [ABTH]. Prof. Habeeb is also the co-chair, state Task Force on COVID-19.
The commissioner explained that all the patients have tested negative for the disease after the two follow up tests and have therefore reached full recovery.
He advised the public to continue to observe the strictest personal hygiene through regular hand washing, use of face masks and social distancing.
