Davido confirms death of DJ Arafat
Ivorian ex-disc jockey and singer, DJ Arafat, or Arafat Muana, has died aged 33.
His friend and colleague, Davido, confirmed the news of his death on his social media handles.
“Pls tell me it’s not true!!! Not my brother !!!! God why!!!!!
“RIP Yorobo. I love you,” Davido wrote along with a photo of the both them.
The 33-year-old died on Monday following a bike accident Sunday night in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire, multiple reports say.

His motorcycle was allegedly hit by a car driven by a journalist from Radio Côte d’Ivoire.
DJ Arafat was reportedly unconscious while being rushed to the hospital before he died on Monday.
DJ Arafat, was born January 26, 1986, as Ange Didier Huon, He was an Ivorian DJ and singer, who makes music of the Coupé-Décalé genre.
He is the son of Tina Glamour, also an artist, and the deceased musician Houon Pierre.
He won the Best Francophone Award at the 2015 MAMAs and was nominated for Best African Act at the 2015 MTV EMA.
In May 2019, DJ Arafat’s Moto Moto hit 1 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours.
