Davido opens new Instagram page #OperationOyetolaMustGo to mock Osun Gov

Since the “controversial” Osun governorship election in September 2018, David Adeleke aka Davido has been on an unending campaign of calumny against governor Gboyega Oyetola for allegedly stealing Senator Ademola Adeleke’s mandate.

The music star who is a nephew of Adeleke had relentlessly called out the ruling All Progressive Congress-led government over claims that the election was rigged in favour of their candidate.

Using his Instagram page and Twitter handle which has over 10.6m and 4.71 m followers respectively, the “OBO” crooner has begged his fans to follow his #OperationOyetolaMustGo movement on IG.

However, Davido has not given a detailed reason for creating the new IG page which apparently promotes the removal of governor Oyetola from the exalted position.

WuzupNaija notes that #OperationOyetolaMustGo IG page was opened Wednesday, May 1, 2019, and already has 4,725 followers.

In a series of posts on Davido’s Insta stories, the singer also hopes to get 10,000 followers in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, some fans and well-meaning Nigerians have expressed divergent views over the #OperationOyetolaMustGo movement on Twitter and IG.

Many are of the opinion that the “Assurance” crooner should not mingle or attach himself to any political affiliation but should rather focus on his music career.

Recall that Davido recently celebrated his uncle’s short-lived victory when a tribunal sitting in Abuja declared Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the 2018 Osun state governorship poll.
