Don’t drag Buhari into DSS deal- Presidency warns Na’abba
The Presidency, on Sunday night, warned a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, not to drag President Muhammadu Buhari into whatever issues he has with security agencies.
This was contained in a statement signed by Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Mallam Garba Shehu.
Shehu decried what he described as Na’Abba’s “publicity stunt” because the President has no issues with him.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had invited Na’Abba over an alleged comment on Buhari, which he is expected to honour today (Monday).
“Our findings have revealed that his invitation has nothing to do with the alleged irresponsible utterances which in any case did not catch the attention of the Presidency, or of any serious politician for that matter,” Shehu said.
The statement added that
“We advise Na’Abba to distance the Presidency from the situation he has found himself and sort himself out accordingly.”
