#FreeDejiNow! Nigerians demand on Twitter
Some Nigerians on Twitter have demanded the release of Deji Adeyanju, a political commentator and the convenor of the Concerned Nigeria group.
Using the hashtag #FreeDejiNow, many called on the federal government and other concerned bodies to urge the police to release Adeyanju.
One Gbemi Dennis™ @GbemiDennis further claimed that Adeyanju had been taken to Magistrate Court, Wuse Zone II, and charged for public disturbance.
“Deji Adeyanju has been taken to Magistrate Court, Wuse Zone II, charged for PUBLIC DISTURBANCE, the tweet reads”
Recall that the Concerned Nigerian group had earlier announced on Twitter that the Nigeria Police Force had arrested Adeyanju along with two others, during the #PoliceNotPoliticians protest.

He stood for the Shiites. He stood for IPOB. He stood for victims of SARS.
He stood for the common man and woman. He stood against injustice, human rights violation and abuse of office.
It is time to stand with Deji.

I understand that Deji Adeyanju has been arrested AGAIN. I find it inconceivable that criminals like Babachir Lawal and Ganduje are roaming the streets free while citizens who protest the govts illegality are jailed.

The @PoliceNG arrested @adeyanjudeji and two other persons this morning for protesting against Police involvement in politics, I learnt they are planning to charge him to court, I wonder what the charge will me. This is what democracy has reduced to under Buhari. #FreeDejiNow

The @PoliceNG arrested @adeyanjudeji because he convened a peaceful protest in Abuja. The IG is taking his disregard for the rule of law too far. It’s important to #FreeDejiNow #FreeDejiAdeyanju

Buhari needs to order the IG of @PoliceNG to release @adeyanjudeji with immediate effect as that is evidently an infringement on his fundamental human rights! @hrw #FreeDejiAdeyanjuNow #FreeDejiAdeyanju #FreeDejiNow

Democracy is about alternative voice and choice!
This is how you recognise a country under a dictatorship: frequent trending of hashtags requesting freedom for its citizens.

The @PoliceNG this morning arrested @adeyanjudeji and others for exercising their civil rights through peaceful protest. Police involvement in politics has become a nightmare.
Under Buhari administration, democracy has been in coma. @chairmanNHRC
