Google honours Stephen Keshi with latest doodle
On Tuesday, Google created a doodle in honour of the late former Nigeria coach, Stephen Keshi, to celebrate a day that would have been his 56th birthday.
The doodle which shows an artwork depicting Stephen Keshi as the captain of the victorious Super Eagles in 1994 and as a Nations Cup-winning coach in 2013, was to recognise the legacy of the former coach who died on June 7, 2016, at 54.
“Keshi is one of only two men to win the Africa Cup of Nations as both a player and a manager, a testament to his wit, talent, and love for the sport,” Google acknowledged.
Doodles are the fun and spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.
The late author of Things Fall Apart, Chinua Achebe was another notable Nigerian personality who has been honoured by Google with a doodle in the past.
