I have lost a friend of 40 years, Fani-Kayode mourns Abba Kyari
Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode woke up Saturday to learn about Mallam Abba Kyari’s death. Predictably, he took to Twitter to mourn Kyari’s death.
He and Kyari went to University of Cambridge together to study law between 1980 and 1983.
They also worked together in Fani-Kayode’s dad law chambers in the 80s, before Kyari went to become the editor of the New Nigerian.
Fani Kayode on 3 April, in a true mark of friendship, had lashed out at people writing fake news about Kyari’s death.
Mourning the passage of his friend of 40 years, Fani-Kayode wrote on Twitter,
“I have lost a friend of 40 years. We were at Cambridge together. We worked in my fathers law firm together. We remained close throughout right up until the end even though we disagreed politically.
“Abba was a good man: a man of honor & a loyal friend.
“May his soul rest in peace.”
