I HOPE THERE’S A WAY TO MAKE IT UP! Simi apologises to fans after poor ‘Live in Lagos’ concert [Video]
X3M Music songbird, Simi, has issued an emotional apology to her fans for disappointing them at her recently concluded “Live in Lagos” concert on Sunday, Dec 9.
The songstress said she didn’t only disappoint them but also disappointed herself.
The soft-spoken “Joromi” crooner said another event had been held at the same venue the night before her concert, and as a result of sound issues, it affected her show.
Although the singer apologised before her performance began yesterday, she has now issued a new apology on her Instagram page.
Earlier some disgruntled fans had taken to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction and called her out.
Simi’s concert started hours behind schedule, forcing some attendees to leave before she mounted the stage while others were unable to stay till the end.
Simi said:
“I am incredibly sorry. I am a perfectionist. I like things to go perfectly. I obsess about details so I felt like I didn’t only disappoint you, I disappointed myself.
“People came out to get an experience. They came out to sing along and some people couldn’t till for the show, some could not stay till the end and I take responsibility.
“The hall was not ready. There was a show there the night before so they could not get the hall ready, the sound ready in time and I kept pushing and trying my best but sometimes your best was not enough.
“I am so sorry, I apologise and hope there is a way I can make it up to you. So, please forgive me. I love you.
“Don’t judge me by this one thing. I apologise again.”
