Lockdown: I never said FG gave Nigerians N5bn- Lai Mohammed
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has denied reports that he said the Federal Government had given N5bn to poor Nigerians since the lockdown began in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun on Monday.
Mohammed told journalists during the daily briefing on COVID-19 that it was also not true that the kits donated to Nigeria by Chinese billionaire, Jack Ma, were infected.
The minister lamented the frequency of fake news especially on social media, adding that such news was frustrating the government’s efforts.
