I’VE LEARNT MY LESSONS! TVC host, Morayo, gives tearful apology to hubby on television
TVC presenter, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has retracted her earlier statements directed at her husband and tendered a public apology on television.
The “Your view” presenter said the last 24 hours have been tough but It was not her intention to disrespect her husband and he didn’t deserve the derogatory words thrown at him.
In a tearful apology which has gone viral, Morayo said: “I’ve learnt my lessons, it will not happen again, you do not deserve any of the horrible things that people have been saying about you on social media”.
She further said that she trivialised her words and didn’t expect that it will get out of hands.
Morayo tearfully said;
“The last 24 hours have been tougher than I expected, I honestly did not know serious the issue, the comments I made on Wednesday.
“I’ll like to really express my sincere apologies to my husband for the backlash.
“It was not my intention, I love trust and respect you. It was a slip…
“I’ve learnt my lessons, it will not happen again, you do not deserve any of the horrible things that people have been saying about you on social media.
“I truly apologise Brown, I did it on Tv and I have to do it again.
“I really apologise, I’m so sorry, you deserve way better than that.
“I really felt bad, totally trivialised this, I didn’t think it was going to be that bad until we saw the messages yesterday and more calls…
“Sincerely It’s you I owe an apology, nobody else, you know it was an error and I’m really sorry…”
Recall that the presenter had said that she absolutely trusts her husband but wouldn’t allow him to bath her daughter because of the frequent case of child molestation.
The TVC presenter said she won’t take the chances because “whether we like it or not, there is something flying in the air these days that is encouraging imbalance and immoralities”.

That’s a virtuous woman. I hope your husband would pardon you. But please avoid citing example with your family on your show. The gullible and myopic minds are there to destroy a peaceful home. The level of understanding of some social media warriors is very low. Take note!

This is much better than the feeble defense you played yesterday. Advise to you ladies on that show, stop using your families as test cases. You don’t know when slips would come. I wish you all well.

It was not your fault. The feminism you were taught and the ongoing girl child protection agenda poisoned your mind in that direction. Believe it ir not, that is what you will always be – suspicion of your Husband and his daughter. So, we need to be careful of these NGOs, pls

No matter how much you push me, I will never mention my family in public not even as an example. U must stay conscious at all time especially on family.

People rarely react to the real issues you discuss on air . Even the main issue was left unattended to by your viewers. This is to tell you that people are always after your mistake. I know People who started following your program just hit you for your mistake.

I salute ur courage and maturity to be able to apologise to ur husband soon enof. Words don’t often come out right. Ur husband shouldn’t judge u with the public eye bcos of this. You will have to work on building existing trust between you two. Media is such a crazy world.

Her statement wasn’t misconstrued… if it was, she won’t be out there apologising to her husband. It became viral because RESPONSIBLE men and women took offence to that statement ???

I think on air personalities get carried away alot and their arrogance never seize to amaze me.
People with limited knowledge on issues informing d general populace on controversial issue dat could make or mar different individuals positively or negatively.
Sorry she got caught.— ADESONA ADEWOLE (@4a6f0931c9d9426) December 7, 2018

That was the negative effects of social media, even though you may be sincere with your thoughts and do not mean any harm towards your husband, but social media sees it differently and decided to exaggerate your thoughts.

I am so happy that Murayo is doing this. Now! Mr Brown, you have 1 minute to forgive your wife or else, the men association of Nigeria will storm your home in full force. Forgive her, because it is your duty to forgive.

Apologies are proof of guilt and it is your husband’s prerogative.
But I hope sincerely that what you said on television is not truly a reflection of your heart towards your husband.— Deji Adeyanju AIKAY? (@impactor456) December 7, 2018
Women would always think they can’t go wrong and men are like the demons, if your husband said he can’t leave you with any small boy because he can’t risk anything the whole house would be on fire now would apology end it there. Watch what you say how you say it when you say it.
