OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION! Our official didn’t tear up election results, he was making a correction, says INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] on Tuesday made some clarifications on the issue relating to the conduct of the Osun governorship election [#OsunDecides2018], especially in Ayedaade LGA.
INEC, in a statement by the state Resident Electoral Commission [REC], Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, said an INEC official, one Mutiu Salawu, wrongly accused of tearing up election result pasted at St. Patrick’s Grammar School in Gbongan.
The statement said Salawu did not obliterate the election result but merely placed a corrected version of the result after the first one was found to be incorrect.

The election empire further added that one Mrs Aderinoye Olukemi Alice, who served as the Electoral Officer of Ayedaade LGA in the election, ordered Salawu to remove change the results after she got an information that the pasted result was incorrect.
INEC said the Local Government Security Chief gave Mrs. Aderinoye the information.
