Relocating to Canada doesn’t guarantee success – Nathaniel Bassey
Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has advised Nigerians who are always in a rush to travel out of the country in search of greener pastures that migration is not the answer to success.
The singer said relocating to Canada or anywhere else is not a guarantee that the migrant would be successful.
Emigrating to Canada and other European countries is the dream of most Nigerian youths and young adults.
It is quite surprising that many of those who migrate to Canada are not those in the lower class of society, most are middle class earning fat six and nine figure salaries.
Many have hinged their motive for making the move on one thing: the future of their children.
Nathaniel Bassey said Canada is not the solution to success but being where God’s presence is.
He took to his Twitter page on Thursday and wrote:
“Relocating to Canada doesn’t Guarantee Success. Being where God would have you be is the secret.
“Your provision is normally tied to your divine location and placement. And if it’s Canada, Great. But make sure you’re where God wants you to be & not just following the trend. Blessings.
“And let me add that if God says leave Nigeria, staying back here would amount to living outside His will for your life. The key here is being where God would have you be. Even if it’s Iraq.”
He added:
“Pastoring has opened my eyes to many things. I have seen families disintegrate after relocating. The issue here is not that it’s bad. Key word here is as a believer, ensure you are placed where God wants you placed.
“There’s nothing wrong in leaving Nigeria provided it’s God’s plan for you. My advice is, wherever you relocate to, ensure you are in God’s will. Even if it’s Iraq.
“If God says leave Nigeria, then being in Nigeria would be staying outside His will for your life.”
