The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the death of one Patrick Archibong who strangled his four children to death and set his house ablaze.

The State police spokesman, DSP Nnamdi Omoni while confirming the incident said thirty-five-year-old Patrick hailed from Cross River state.

According to multiple reports, the couple had a fight a day before the sad incident.

DSP Omoni said the man who had chased out his wife from their home, strangled all his four children, set the house ablaze with himself in the building, Daily Post reports.

He said;

“We are shocked as to why the man killed his own children. It was the Landlord who came to report the matter and on getting there, we found five corpses with the man hanging himself.

“We have evacuated the bodies and our men at the State CID are on top of the matter.”
