THE LIST GOES ON! Aminu Tambuwal dumps APC for PDP
Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has officially announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday.
The governor made the announcement in a recent tweet; he wrote;
“I have consulted widely especially with the Sokoto people and they have confidently assured me of my next political move.
“I hereby defect officially to the @OfficialPDPNig. Power to the People.”
The announcement comes after weeks of speculation that Governor Tambuwal is leaving the ruling party.

According to photos share on his Twitter page, hundreds of supporters were seen at the Government House declaring their support for him.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives is the third APC governor to exit the party after his Benue and Kwara state counterparts, Samuel Ortom and Abdulfatah Ahmed joined the PDP.
