THERE IS NO GOING BACK! Despite threats to our lives, we will continue to resist tyranny, says Saraki
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has said that despite the threats to the lives of legislators, they will continue to resist tyranny.
Saraki said this at a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.
He explained that Tuesday’s the Department of State Services siege at the National Assembly was an assault on democracy, adding that the lockdown was meant to impeach him illegally.

He, however, declared that “despite the threat to our lives we shall continue to fight for the growth of democracy in Nigeria,” saying that there was no going back.
Saraki paid tributes to the Civil Society Organizations, the Media, the Diplomatic Community, Members of the Public and the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for their roles in ensuring the coup detat against democracy was crushed.
He called for a total investigation into the illegality perpetrated at the National Assembly by the Operatives of the DSS and brought those found wanting to be severely sanctioned to prevention the future occurrence of the show of shame and threat to the nation’s democracy.
