Nigerian-American rapper, singer, and record producer, Jidenna, has said that Afrobeats artistes owe tithes and offerings to the Kuti family because they are true royalty.

Jidenna who is currently in Nigeria said this after his visit to The New Afrika Shrine on Monday night.

The singer who met with  Femi Kuti, Yeni Kuti, Seun Kuti and Made Kuti, took to his Instagram page to shower praises on the Afrobeat family and gushed about meeting “royalty”.

Speaking about the visit, Jidenna says:

Give thanks to the Anikulapo Kuti family for inviting us to The New Afrika Shrine.

“You all are true royalty. ‘Afrobeats’ artists owe tithes and offerings to una.

The 33-year-old star performed at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival on Saturday, January, 5.
