Thieves break into doctor’s house, cook and eat before stealing electronics
Some suspected burglars broke into the home of a Cuban doctor posted to a Kenyan county around 2 am on Wednesday where they took their time to cook and eat before stealing some electronic gadgets.
Police in Kenya said they have launched investigations into the burglary incident which took place at the home of Dr Blanco Torres Marleni, a general physician of Cuban origin, working at a public hospital in Home Bay county.
TUCO reports that Marleni told police that she was in her bedroom where she hid at the time the burglars broke into her home and throughout the time they carried out their operation.
She narrated that the thieves took their time to prepare a meal as she listened in horror, afraid to raise alarm which would alert the criminals to her presence.
“They cooked food which was in the refrigerator and ate in the kitchen before they disappeared,” she said.
The thieves reportedly made away with her television, microwave, blenders and kitchen equipment.
