A woman has been arrested by the police in Jigawa State for allegedly bathing her stepson with hot water.

The water scalded the boy’s back, chest and face.

Wuzup Naija gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday at Gantsa area of the state. It was alleged that the suspect and the boy’s mother had a fight.

Angered by the incident, the woman targeted the baby in order to get back at his mom.

According to one Rilwanu Labashu Yayari, an eyewitness, the boy has since been taken to a hospital in the area, while the suspect is currently cooling off inside police custody.
