TREKKING FOR PMB! Angry Lagosians lament Buhari’s visit, lambaste Ambode
Angry Lagosians have taken to their social media handles to criticise the closure of the major roads in the metropolis because of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Lagos State.
Lagosians in different parts of the metropolis were photographed Thursday morning trekking to their various places of work and businesses.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, who invited the president to inaugurate the new Lagos Bus Terminal, was also blasted by the residents. He was accused of being overzealous. They queried the work-free day and went ahead to express fears that the Ikeja bus terminal might end up becoming the most expensive “bus terminal” in the world.

I wonder why a state like Lagos would be shut down for a presidential visit just for project commisioning and an event of a party leader.#TrapaDrive#GainWithAlechenu_D@MrKonkrete @El_tiger_29111 pic.twitter.com/oY2cbEaOqW

Today’s Lagos road closures are totally unnecessary and unfortunate. In the 21st Century, nobody closes down a mega city. President and Governor should simply have used helicopters. No right thinking person will close down New York or London or even Sydney

Booked a 8:45 flight from Abuja to Lagos with the hope of getting out of Abuja before Buhari, checked in at 7:20.
I hear the airspace will be closed until Buhari arrives in Lagos.
madness ??
