Video: How Sowore was whisked away by DSS operatives in Lagos
A Closed-circuit television (CCTV) clip, also known as video surveillance, released by the Sahara reporters shows the moment human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore was whisked away by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Sunday.
The former presidential aspirant was arrested because he called for a #RevolutionIsNow protest in Nigeria.
It was gathered that the “heavily armed” DSS men stormed Sowore’s home between 1:15 am and 1:25 am (WAT) on Saturday.

The men numbering eight cordoned off the building and arrested the rights activist after a slight altercation in the gym, Sahara reports.
Meanwhile, DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, while addressing reporters in Abuja Sunday afternoon, said the DSS was “aware” of information that Sowore had been in touch with foreign actors to destabilise Nigeria.
