Video: We were offered N1m to stop protesting, demanding Sowore’s release – Deji Adeyanju
The convener of Concerned Nigerians group, Deji Adeyanju, has alleged that his group and other protesters who stormed the headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja were offered N1 million to stop demanding for the release of RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore.
Adeyanju revealed this while speaking to newsmen at the venue of the protest and also displayed the two bundles of new N500 notes he claimed the protesters were given.
He was seen in the company of the Executive Director of Enough is Enough (EiE), Yemi Adamolekun, and other activists.
Adeyanju said:
“They offered us money at gunpoint, but it is in our tradition we are not going to say much.
“We have come here to say please the money they gave us we don’t want they should come and collect it.
“If they don’t take their money before the end of today, we are going to give it to Falana (Sowore’s counsel) so that he can use it to augment part of the legal fees.”
