31-year-old armed robbery, murder suspect arrested in Imo
The Imo State Police Command has arrested a 31-year-old armed robbery and murder suspect in Oguta Local Government Area of the state.
Chukwuemeka Nnane, also known as ‘No Stain’ or ‘Armourer’, was declared wanted by the police in 2019 for his alleged involvement in multiple criminal activities.
The state Commissioner of Police, Isaac Akinmoyede, described the arrest as a major breakthrough for the command.
He said,
“On May 4 at Oguta LGA, Imo state, at Umudeyi, SARS operation coordinated by CSP Victor O GODFREY and led by Inspr. Onyeka arrested one Chukwuemeka Nnane aka No Stain or armourer, 31, and recovered the following weapons, 15 live GPM Special ammunition and two Lar rifle magazine, a police face cap and a Lar rifle hidden inside a shrine.
“It is important to note that the arrested suspect has been on our wanted list for murder and robbery. He belongs to the notorious Ebuka Ukachukwu aka Small witch gang of armed robbery and kidnapping who was declared wanted by the Imo state police command on September 19, 2019.
“Suspects has confessed to the crimes. During arrest, he sustained gunshot injury on his lower left leg. He was rushed to the hospital, treated and discharged.”
