Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), on Monday, arrested three highway robbers who allegedly ambushed a lady in the Lekki area of Lagos.

According to the RRS, a unit in the Lagos Police Command, the suspects were arrested for robbing a lady of her phone at Lekki Phase one.

RRS further said two among the arrested suspects are ex-convicts and one of them was just released from prison last week.

In a post via its Twitter handle, RRS wrote,

“RRS operatives have arrested three Robbers, two of which are ex convicts for robbing a pedestrian of her phone in Lekki Phase 1.

“Funny thing is one of them just got out of jail a week ago.

“They’ve been transferred to State Anti Robbery Section for further investigations.”
