At least three persons have lost their lives in a fatal auto crash around Ntigha Umuaro junction, New Umuahia Road in Abia State, ABN TV reports.

According to the online news platform, an eye witness who said the accident involves a trailer loaded with cement and a Diana bus loaded with woods and six occupants.

The source stated that the trailer driver was coming from the road linking Ntigha and Umuaro while the driver was coming from the Aba road axis.

The driver of the trailer who was allegedly on high speed was said to have hit the bus conveying wood along with the six occupants.

Three of the passengers died on the spot including the driver while the other three were rushed to a nearby health facility.

As at the moment of filing this report, the injured were in a stable condition.

When contacted for a comment, the Police Public Relations Officer in Abia State, Geoffrey Ogbonna could not pick his call.
