The joy of every parent is to see their children succeed. Such is the case of this Nigerian mother who before going on board an Arik Air flight had no clue that the pilot was going to be her son.

On board the flight, as is the custom, the pilot is heard over the speakers speaking from the cockpit, welcoming his passengers aboard his plane.

When the unnamed woman heard the pilot’s she immediately identified it as belonging to her son – Arik Air’s First Officer Yusuf Majeed.

After the flight, Majeed shared on social the joy of having his mum enjoy firsthand, him practising his trade.

He shared a picture of his mum and him which was taken moments after Majeed safely landed the aircraft.

He captioned the picture:

“Today is the happiest day of my life as God has blessed me with an opportunity to fly the love of my life, my mother and although it’s nothing compared to carrying me for 9 months, it’s been the greatest privilege of my life” “May God almighty bless our parents with long and prosperous lives.

“Using this medium, I just want to say a big Thank you to my mother and all other mother’s out there for their unconditional love and unending sacrifices. The world is a better place because of them. I love you my World’s Greatest”
