Akeredolu sends powerful message to Ondo people ahead governorship results announcement
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the yet to be concluded Ondo State governorship election, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Sunday thanked the people of the state for choosing him as their governor ahead of INEC’s release of the final result of the poll.
Akeredolu who is leading in the 17 LGAs results announced so far by INEC, took to his official Twitter account to send the message, saying, “Ondo has decided and I am humbled that my people chose me. Our time to Think Anew and Act Anew has come. Thank You Ondo State. #OndoDecides.”

Out of the results of 17 Local Government Areas announced by INEC as at 8:45am on Sunday, APC has been declared winner in 14 LGAs, PDP has won 2 LGAs while AD has won 1 LGA. The state has a total of 18 local government areas. Remaining only Ilaje LGA.
The collation of result is currently on hold pending when returning officers from Ilaje return with results from the area. Collation resumes 11am.
