The lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Akin Alabi has launched a Pro-Bono legal service for his constituents.

The core of the program, according to the lawmaker, will be the fight against Police brutality, harassment and illegal detentions. It will also help those in needs with access to better legal service.

It was gathered that Alabi has hired a top legal firm in Ibadan to combat these issues. The law firm, it was said, will inspect all detention areas and police stations within Egbeda/Ona Ara to enforce the fundamental human rights of detainees within the consistency.

Outside Police brutality, the Pro Bono Service will also aid indigents that are defrauded in land cases, harassed by criminals and the issues of fundamental human rights.

During a visit to the Commissioner of Police to announce his intention for the program, the NairaBet CEO stated that he is willing to represent his people on all matters, as a true representative of his people.

The Commissioner assured the lawmaker to do the best within his capacity to ensure success for everyone involved.

Explaining how it will work, Hon. Akin Alabi stated that hotlines will be provided on his ‘Akinmeansbusiness’ social media accounts and a strong memo to his constituency office and Local Government offices for indigenes to know the numbers to call to enjoy the service.
