Akintola, Senior Adovocate, mourns ex-Oyo Speaker
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Niyi Akintola, has described the demise of Kehinde Ayoola, the Oyo State Commissioner for Environment, as a great loss to the state.
Akintola said this in his condolence message made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ayoola, a former Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, died on Thursday during a brief illness.
Akintola said that the late Oyo-born politician had a sound academic background laced with native intelligence.
He said: “What a blow? What manner of death? Death where is thy sting?
” My brother, friend, Aburo, The art Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, why? Why? and why?
” You and I discussed Oyo State contemporary issues when last you spoke to me.
“You were measured, full of wisdom and respectful in my posers to you on contemporary issues and prevailing situations in our dear state.
“Despite our different political camps, you continue to build bridges, nurture our relationships, oil our philosophies and ideas, and ever ready to appreciate other views different from yours.
“Kenny, you were a genius, amiable, humble, friendly with well-packaged wisdom imbibed with sound academic background laced with native intelligence.
“I am going to miss you my great friend, compatriot, fellow ex this, ex that and a great Aburo in whom I am well pleased. Adieu, Adieu, Adieu.”
Akintola prayed that God would give his amiable wife and children as well as colleagues in government the fortitude to bear the loss.
