ALLEGED CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND INCITING PUBLICATION! Fani-Kayode honours police invitation, says they are very professional
An aide to the ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday, honoured the invitation of the police at the force headquarters, Abuja over an inciting publication.
The police were said to have questioned him about an article titled, ‘Five Useful Idiots and The Spirit Of The Accursed Slave’ and other write-ups, which were deemed offensive.
Fani-Kayode, who was at the force headquarters with his lawyer, Kayode Ajulo, however, promised to provide the original article to the investigators, noting that the article under reference might have been edited or manipulated by those who reproduced it.

Ajulo informed our correspondent that his client would return to the police next Tuesday.
He noted that the police were very professional, adding that he was impressed with the manner they attended to his client.
He said,
“We met with the CP and a few other senior policemen and they were very professional. The complaint borders on most of his past writings, but the issue appeared to be about what was published by a third party. Mere looking at it, it shows that it had been edited. He (Fani-Kayode) told them he would come with what he wrote.”
“In this age of the internet, I can write anything and anybody can pick it and reproduce it, there may be some additions or subtractions. What we agreed on is that you can’t bring the work of an author particularly when the original author is there, so on Tuesday, we would be there again.”
The police had invited Fani-Kayode over alleged criminal conspiracy and inciting publication.
The Commissioner of Police in charge of IG monitoring unit, force headquarters, Haba Sani had in a letter summoned the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain for questioning over a petition against him.

Fani-Kayode had in response said the letter was vague and asked the police to fix a new date because the invitation was sent on short notice.
