Amotekun arrests two female pants thieves in Osun
Two men have been arrested in Osun State for allegedly stealing female pants.
The duo – identified simply as Friday and Toib – allegedly broke into an apartment on Saturday with an axe and stole some items, including the pants.
However, following a tip-off by residents in the area, men of the Amotekun Corps arrested the duo.
WuzupNigeria reports that the incident happened at Ajaba, a community in Ila local government area of the state.
The Director General of Amotekun Corps in the state, Amitolu Shittu, said the thieves stole five female pants.
He said,
“Residents of Ajaba had for long monitored the two men, Toib and Friday and concluded they must be criminals. After close monitoring, our men caught them after they had broken into a house. They stole five female pants in the house.
“The suspects used axe to break into the building. Although the men refused to tell us what they intended to do with the stolen pants.
“But it is curious that out of several items in the house, only pants belonging to women occupants were stolen by the suspects. We intend to follow up on this. Items recovered from the suspects included; five women underwear and a small axe.”
Shittu added that the men had been released to the police for further action.
