Anambra man kills his brother for being rude to girlfriend

Published

Blood, they say, is thicker than water, but a man in Onitsha, Anambra State has proven the adage wrong after he allegedly killed his younger brother due to several complaints by his girlfriend.

WuzupNigeria gathered that Uzor, who is currently on the run, stabbed his brother, one Emeka, to death after his girlfriend complained that he was rude to her.

Uzor was said to have accosted Emeka over his girlfriend’s complaint and an argument ensued between the two.

At a point, Uzor went to get a dagger and started chasing Emeka, with a threat to kill him. Before people could intervene, he made good the threat by stabbing his brother to death

WuzupNigeria reports that in June 2019, a 23-year-old man, John Joshua, of Zazzaga village in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, stabbed his neighbour, one Yohanna Ali, of the same address, to death for disrespecting his father.

Further findings revealed that Joshua killed Ali for exchanging words with his father, which he described as “lack of respect.”

The suspect told our correspondent that he killed Ali for disrespecting his father, which, he said, was unacceptable.

He said:

“I killed him because he insulted my father. He forgot that I would confront him. I have never insulted his father before, so why should he disrespect my father?

“When I confronted him, he did not show any remorse; rather he asked what I would do. So, I stabbed him in his ribs, which caused his death.

“For this disrespectful act, in his next world, he wouldn’t disrespect elders.”
