Another Covid-19 case dies in Delta
Delta state has recorded another death of COVID -19 case, the new case reportedly died on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
It was learnt that the deceased, before his death allegedly presented himself at the isolation centre in Warri. But was asked to go home after NCDC officials collected his sample.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday confirmed a new case of Coronavirus in the state bringing the total number of cases to seven.
It was gathered that the patient died before the result of his sample was released on Tuesday.
Sources said,
“The deceased presented himself at the isolation centre in Warri Central Hospital and was asked to go home after NCDC officials collected his sample against the rules.
“The patient died on Saturday, April 25, 2020”.
Our correspondent learnt that upon receipt of the result, the State Taskforce on COVID-19 contacted the family of the deceased and they were told the patient had died.
Efforts to speak with the state commissioner for information Mr. Charles Aniagwu, was not successful as he said, “am in a meeting”
As at the time of filing this report. The Commissioner for Health number was also busy and could not answer call put to his mobile phone.
