A People’s Democratic Party Chieftain, Femi Fani Kayode, has mocked Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, saying if only the latter knew what Adolf Hitler really stood for.

The former aviation minister said Hitler and the Germans paid a terrible price for their invasion of Poland and the rest of Europe

He was reacting to a statement made by Senator Akpabio claiming that APC will take over Akwa Ibom State in 2019 just like the late German dictator took over Poland.

Fani Kayode who is a known social media commentator schooled Akpabio on the history of the German politician and Pan-German revolutionary, who was the leader of the Nazi Party.

Kayode said Hitler was eventually kicked out and millions of his people were slaughtered adding that a similar fate awaits the APC and its leaders.

He wrote on his Facebook page;

“APC will take over Akwa Ibom like Hitler took over Poland”- Senator Godswill Akpabio.

“If only my friend and brother, Senator Godswill Akpabio, knew who Hitler really was, what he stood for, what he did to Poland and how he ended up.

“Ignorance is a terrible thing.

“Hitler and the Germans paid a terrible price for their invasion of Poland and the rest of Europe.

“They were eventually kicked out, millions of their people were slaughtered, most of their cities were flattened, they lost the war and “Great Germany” was broken, humiliated, brought to her knees and split into two.

“Hitler himself died in a cowardly manner like a caged rat in a filthy little bunker. A similar fate awaits the APC and its leaders.”

The former Akwa Ibom State governor had made the Hitler statement over the weekend at the funeral Mass of his grandmother-in-law, late Madam Mercy Uduoku Neife Igwenagu.

Akpabio said,

“Recently, I had an occasion in Akwa Ibom State and this is what happened: I went just to make a floor declaration; others do it in the social media, others just sit in their offices, some do it by text messages that they have changed platform, what we call party. But in my own, I just decided to do it in an uncommon way because they call me uncommon transformer.

“It was watched in 59 countries and somebody asked what happened there, and I said just how it happened in Poland. When did they ask Hitler’s minister for information about the war in Poland, and he said Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw.

“I will say that in the Ikot-Ekpene arena, when I stepped out, this is my first function after that, Warsaw saw war and war saw Warsaw. We can’t talk politics in the church but in 2019 Warsaw shall see war and war shall see Warsaw. The return will be victory. May God grant us all victory…”

As a dictator, Hitler initiated World War II in Europe with the invasion of Poland in September 1939, and was central to the Holocaust.
