Armed robbers rape, shoot victim dead in Delta

A young girl on Monday lost her lives after armed robbers stormed her house in Bomadi, headquarters of Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.

WuzupNigeria gathered that the robbers raped her and, thereafter, shot her dead.

Sources said the incident took place along the Bomadi gas plant station in Bomadi.

The father of the slain girl who simply identified himself as Elder Wuduowei, in an emotion-laden tone, broke the news of the gory incident to journalists in Warri.

He said:

“Armed robbers attacked my house when I was not around and my daughter tried to reach me to alert me.

“I was in the hospital because my wife is in labour before I could reach the head of vigilantes who accompanied me down it was already late.

“We saw her body cold after we saw signs of her been violated by the hoodlums.”

Confirming the report, the vigilante Secretary of Bomadi LGA, who pleaded not to be mentioned told newsmen that “the father of the victim, Elder Wuduowei, left the house leaving the girl alone which led the armed robbers to attack with ease.”

According to the vigilante secretary, the slain girl alerted her father that some group of armed men were trying to force themselves into the house but the father could not reach security operatives on time before the sad incident occurred.

When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) for Delta State Command, SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the report.

The PPRO said:

“The report is that the girl was raped and shot dead. Not raped to death. She was shot and she died soon after. She was shot by gunmen who invaded their house while her father was in the hospital with the mum about to deliver or so. That’s the report.”


Mother who drowned own child remanded at LUTH



An Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos Wednesday remanded a mother Olufunmilola Adisa, suspected of killing baby, at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for psychiatric evaluation.

Adisa, 22, is believed by the police to have drowned her 21 months old child in a bucket of water.

She is receiving free legal representation from the Office of the Public Defender (OPD).

Kano: Auto crash injures five, kills five

Five people were confirmed dead, while five others sustained varying degrees of injury in an accident that occurred on Wednesday in Rimin Gata road.

The incident, which involved a lorry and a golf car, happened in Ugogo Local Government area of Kano State.

The Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Muhammad, confirmed the incident in a statement in Kano.

Muhammad said that the accident occurred at about 7.18 a.m when the two vehicles had a head-on collision.

“The Tipper Farkas with registration number QF 435-NSH and Golf car with registration number KMC-828 ZV coming from opposite directions had a head-on collision,” he said.

Muhammad attributed the course of the accident, which involved 10 people, to speeding.

He noted that the five people were rescued.

“We received a rescue call from Rimin Gata Ungogo Local Government at about 7.18 a.m through Malam Usman Aminu Iguda.

“On receiving information, we quickly dispatched our personnel and vehicles to the scene of the incident to rescue the victims.

“The victims were evacuated to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital where five people were confirmed dead, while the other five are receiving treatment,” he said.

Muhammad appealed to motorists to always obey traffic regulations so as to stay alive and minimise accidents on the road.

Home owner allegedly shoots tenant dead for failing to vacate his house



Murderer landlord

A landlord in Ghana has been arrested for allegedly shooting his tenant who refused to vacate his house after he ordered him to.

Facebook user, Blessing Naana Ansah-Senkyire shared photos of the arrested suspect at the police station.

She revealed that the landlord who was angry that her brother, Kobby didn’t finish packing on the day he was asked to vacate the property, took a gun and shot him while still in his room.

Kobby reportedly died instantly.

She wrote:

“Yesterday this man shot and killed my brother at ofankor. Mr landlord who is a disappointed bugar, you won’t go free. No one will bail you out for taking a life.

“He was asked to vacate his room yesterday but couldn’t finished packing so he wanted to live today and the landlord got angry pick a gun at him why he still in his room.. Then he shot him.”

Blessing Naana Ansah-Senkyire also shared a copy of the tenancy agreement which showed that her brother’s rent expired on the day he was shot.

She wrote in another post;

“This is the proof that my brother rent expired this month 24th may 2020. The murderer was only a witnessed and son to the landlord who is the mother.. Then on 25th he shot him dead. How on earth can human be this wicked?… .. The mother claimed the son cannot Be in jail. But we live to see. Now he’s been taken to prison for two weeks before the case shall be heard.”
