Army parades fake female army doctor
The Nigerian Army has finally paraded Rose John, a fake army major, running clinic and maternity in Bwari, Abuja, for years under the guise of an army medical corps officer.
Rose John has no qualification whatsoever in medical field and has never been an officer of the Nigerian army, DailyTrust reported.
Lieutenant Col. Ismaila Abdullahi, the officer commanding military police in Nigerian Guards Brigades who paraded her before journalists on Friday, said she had operated for years on fake certificates whose rightful owner had died several years ago.
“A search in her house led to the discovery of certificates for general nursing and midwifery from school of nursing and midwifery, Katsina. Contacts were made to validate and authenticate the certificates and it was confirmed that though the certificate was genuine, it does not belong to her, the real owner of the certificate died in 2004,” Abdullahi said.
Rose John who was earlier identified in media reports as Jumai Ann Ayuba, adopted the name since she procured the certificates for her clinical services, from a relative to the deceased rightful owner in 2004 and” she had used same certificates to secure employment at the general hospital Makarfi in Kaduna state between 2007-2008” Col. Abdullahi Said.
When asked why she chose to impersonate the army over other agencies and outfit, Rose said she chose the army because the villagers where she runs a clinic call her major.
