Arsenal set unwanted record in Champions League match against PSG
Arsenal set an unwanted record in their Champions League group stage opener against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
Arsene Wenger’s men fell behind after just 42 seconds through Edinson Cavani’s well-taken header from Serge Aurier’s cross.
The Uruguayan’s goal was the earliest the Gunners have conceded in Champions League history.
It’s also the second time Cavani has scored a goal in the Champions League in under a minute.
The PSG star needed just 55 seconds to score against APOEL Nicosia in November 2014.
Alexis Sanchez fires Arsenal level in the 78th minutes with a vicious strike from the edge of the PSG area.
