In what can be described as a barbaric act, a bricklayer, Robert Muchangi, had three nails hammered into his skull by his employer for demanding for his pay after rendering service.

Unfortunately, after being in a coma for days Muchangi died on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in the Meru County located in Kenya.

According to Tuko, the deceased had slipped into a coma before his death after the two nails were successfully removed from his head by KNH doctors.

Multiple media reports that the late Muchangi met his sad fate in the hands of a man known to him and his family perfectly well.

The deceased who is a mason by profession is said to have been attacked by a man who had given job at his home.

According to an eye-witness who spoke to Standard, the deceased had gone to ask for his dues when the client attacked him, leaving him with the injuries on his head.

Igembe South Medical Officer of Health, Micheal Kariuki, who attended to Muchangi at Maua Methodist Hospital, said the patient was referred to KNH when doctors realised there could be severe damage to the nervous system.

He said one nail had been plucked out before he was brought to the hospital.
