Popular social media influencer and former musician, Tunde Ednut, is presently under attack on Twitter following his post mocking a made-in-Nigeria vehicle presented to BBNaija Season four winner, Mercy Lambo.

Shortly after Mercy was presented the Innoson SUV brand worth N25 million for emerging winner of the TV reality show on Tuesday, Tunde took to his Instagram page to share a photo of the vehicle and described it as ‘Onitsha-made’, implying that it is a sub-standard vehicle.

He wrote in pidgin:

“Bbn don go buy nepa motor for our lambo. dis one na made in 51 iweka road onitcha.”

His IG post has been a trending topic on Twitter Nigeria all day as social media users lambaste him for ridiculing a Nigerian-made product.

Meanwhile, while some Twitter users were trying to label Tunde’s comment as a tribal attack, others have cautioned them to be cautious in their criticism.
