Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi’s farewell ceremony is currently taking place at the Staples Center and opening the event is Beyonce who took to the stage to open the memorial event.

Beyonce delivered an emotional rendition of “XO” and “Halo” at Kobe Bryant and Gigi’s farewell ceremony.

Wearing a marigold-coloured pantsuit, the singer delivered a moving rendition of her hit song XO after giving a short speech saying the song was Kobe’s favourite.

“I’m here because I love Kobe, and this was one of his favourite songs,” she said after singing the first line, before beginning again. “So I want to start that over, but I want us to do it all together. I want us to sing it so loud that we hear the love.”

The singer then transitioned into “Halo.”
