American singer and actress, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, has released the tracklist of her Lion King album and it features a list Nigerian music stars, like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade and Tekno.
Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and South Africa’s Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly were are also featured on the album.
This comes after Disney announced that Beyoncé curated and produced an album set for release the same date “The Lion King: The Gift” hits cinemas on July 19th.
Disney had said the album, features global recording artists and “steeped in the sounds of Africa”.
The LP also features Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z, Childish Gambino, 070 Shake, Tierra Whack, Pharrell, and more. In addition, there’s a song with JAY and daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
Beyoncé will be voicing Nala, the lion who becomes queen, in the upcoming Disney musical drama which also stars Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Alfre Woodard and John Oliver.
