A 37-year-old paedophile, who sexually abused 276 children, will spend the next 60 years paying for his crimes in prison, a court has ruled.

Colombian Juan Carlos Sánchez Latorre used the alias ‘Big Bad Wolf’ to share sickening images and videos of his abuse online.

Sánchez Latorre had been on the run for five years until he was arrested in Venezuela with a fake identity card a year ago.

He was extradited back to Colombia to face trial where he pleaded guilty to sexually abusing 276 boys and girls, all 14 years old or under.

A court in the city of Barranquilla heard how Latorre committed the crimes in 2007-08.

Prosecutors also said he approached his victims online and met them at shopping centres, offering them money and sweets in exchange for sex, before abusing them at his home.
