Billboard falls on commercial bus in Lagos, kills three [Graphic photos]
Three persons have been confirmed dead with many injured after an overhead road sign fell on a moving commercial vehicle.
The incident happened on Wednesday at Ilasa bus stop, Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Lagos State when a billboard fell on a commercial in Lagos.
The accident happened around Ilasa after a construction truck working on the highway hit the electronic billboard, causing it to fall on the commercial bus.
Police authority in Ilasa and Itire area said that rescue work was still ongoing as at the time of enquiry.
“Many persons were injured and three persons dead. The accident was caused by a pole which fell on a moving commercial vehicle. Our policemen are on the ground,” a police source said.
