BRAVE HEART! Rape victim, social worker die in auto crash while on their way to court

A rape victim was on Wednesday crushed to death in an auto accident while on her way to court.

According to reports, the rape victim was in the company of a social worker-cum-activist, one Miss Promise Ezekiel of Brave Heart Initiative (BHI), when the incident occurred.

It was gathered that Miss Ezekiel, who was following up on the rape case, was also killed in the accident.

Miss Ezekiel hails from Benin in Edo state.

According to Nkechi Ugochukwu, who described her ‘as a heroine in the struggle’ in a social media post on Thursday, a third victim of the accident is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Friends of the deceased have taken to Facebook to mourn the loss.

Facebook user Emmanuel Ikpemosi Oshionebo wrote;

My dear, sis PROMISE EZEKIEL, tears drop from my eyes when I heard the saddening news of your sudden departure, but later on, I get consoled because there’s no doubt that you are resting in the bosom of the lord. I only cried because I felt that you left too soon and the vacuum you’ve created that can never be filled.

We all love you but God loves you most and He knows why He has to take you this early. Despite your departure, your good works, joy, smiles and the happiness everyone enjoys whenever they are around you speak volumes and will ever continue to speak more….miss you my accountant,….miss you my youth VP, miss you my lodge mate…… continue to rest in peace.

Reacting to the ugly situation, Prince Chukwuemeka Uba, the National President of Ohanaeze Youth Foundation, Nigeria, OYFN, has challenged the Commissioner of Police, Edo State, to launch a thorough investigation aimed at unraveling the remote cause or causes of the auto crash, believing there is more to that incident, bearing in mind a rape case was involved.
