BREAKING! Buhari wants John Odigie-Oyegun tenure extension cancelled, says it is illegal
President Muhammadu Buhari has declared the tenure extension for the National Working Committee led by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun as illegal.
The APC had in its NEC meeting on February 28 extended the tenure of members of NWC, a decision that had reportedly angered a national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.
Recall that Tinubu and Oyegun, whom many believed have the ears of President Buhari, have been at loggerheads for some times now. But, before the commencement of NEC meeting on Tuesday, Buhari told a packed hall at the APC national secretariat to consider cancelling the tenure extension decision.
He described it as illegal, adding that “it is against the party constitution and the Nigerian constitution.”
