BREAKING: Fire breaks out at nightclub, dozens feared dead (Photos, Video)
Fresh reports from California suggest that dozens of clubbers are feared dead or trapped after a fire broke out during a warehouse party.
They are believed to be inside the club in Oakland, California, during a ‘Rave Cave’ party at the Ghost Ship.
Metro UK reports that the fire became so out of control that all fire units were ordered out of the building.
Between 75 and 100 people were inside when it broke out and now 55 firefighters are battling the blaze on three sides of the building.
The fire broke out at 11.30pm during the event said to be part of musician Golden Donna’s 100% Silk tour.
Darin Marshall posted on Facebook saying: ‘Ghostship party tonight fully involved. 31st & International near Fruitvale Ave. in Oakland. I hope everyone got out alright.’
Eveline Darroch has started a Facebook thread for people to post details of missing loved ones.
She said: ‘Hi, I am here with the fire inspector going through the list of missing names of missing/safe. At this point there are several threads. I am requesting that you only post in this thread their name and missing or safe next to it.’
People have also been posting images of people on Facebook who they believe to be missing.
Others have been posting on the event page to say that they had escaped safely.
