BREAKING: France beat Nigeria 1-0, qualify for Women’s World Cup last 16
The Super Falcons of Nigeria will have to wait a little longer to know if they will play in the round of sixteen in the 2019 FIFA World Cup, as one of the best losers.
This is as a result of losing 1-0 to France.
Wendie Renard converted a penalty in the 79th minute after Ngozi Ebere was shown a red card (after a second yellow card).
She had earlier missed a penalty, but referee booked goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for steeping her foot outside the line and ordered that the penalty be re-taken.
