Nigeria records five new coronavirus cases, total confirmed cases now eight
The Federal Ministry of Health has announced five new cases of coronavirus bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to eight.
All five new cases had a travel history to the United Kingdom and the United States.
This was confirmed on Wednesday by the Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie during a press conference in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Four of the cases are from Lagos State and one in Ekiti State.
The Minister, however, advised the public to remain calm as all necessary actions have been activated to tackle the outbreak.
