Breaking: Ondo University shut as students protest ‘no payment, no test’ [Video]
The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko in Ondo state have closed down the school till May 20 following protests by students over ‘no payment, no test’ policy of the institution.
The university’s registrar, Dr Sunday Ayeerun announced the closure in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement reads,
“The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State,has approved a Mid-Semester break for all students of the University.
“All students of the university are, therefore, advised to proceed on the Mid-Semester break with immediate effect.
“Students are to resume to campus on Monday, May 20, 2019.”
According to WuzupNaija source, the closure was as a result of protests by the students of the university.
It was gathered that the protests shut down activities at the state-owned university which prompted the management to announce the closure of the institution.
